It is definitely old. Who ever did that was just messing around.

The naming Pacquiao and Hopkins as some of his fave fighters is ancient, really old. The Marquez brothers comment is old.

Here's an article from 2009, in which the writer mentions that same exact quote that he "found in his archives" and he says it's from 3-4 years ago[but remember the article is from 09 so 3-4 years ago would 2006-2005].

I went back to my archives and found a quote from Mayweather where he called Juan Manuel Marquez his first most favorite boxer to watch. “Both of the Marquez brothers,” responded Floyd in New York about three or four years ago. “They’re both good boxers. But one – is it the older one? – he’s the truth. The truth. Total Package. He’s probably right behind me as the best fighter pound-for-pound.”

Yea, this is a common known fact to people that know boxing and Floyd. Everyones average is lowered dramatically when they fight Floyd.

Freddie Roach is 0-2 against Floyd. Alex Ariza is 0-1 against Floyd.

Jukko was also coming off a 11 round TKO loss.

          Naughty Floyd.

What's Pacquiao got to do with it?

It's easy to throw 1,000 punches at punching bags. I don't know how Pacquiao will beat Mayweather if it won't be with workrate, it won't be with power, if it's with speed, how is he going to use his speed? He's going to box Mayweather? He's going to potshot Mayweather[Pacquiao potshotting? since when?]. I can't see anything Pacquiao can do to beat Floyd other than a staged fight or if he's on PEDs.

Just comparing Floyd to other great fighters of today to show that what he was he was doing in 1999 was alright.
