Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has big plans for WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo 'Papito' Vázquez Jr. (20-0-1, 17KOs). The undefeated Puerto Rican boxer recently signed a co-promotional agreement with Arum's company. Vazquez is co-promoted by Felix 'Tutico' Zabala of All Star Boxing. The first fight under Top Rank will happen on the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley undercard on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Vazquez will defend his title against veteran and former champion Jorge Arce (56-6-2, 43KOs) of Mexico.

This is another move by Arum to tap into the enormous Mexican market since he's losing Mexican fighters to GBP. He's pitting WV2 vs another safe Mexican who's way beyond his prime and who's way too small and passing it off as another in a long line of BoollShet fights called "the Mexico vs Puerto Rico rivalry". Good for the Ricans to make some $$ but let's keep it real.
