What betrayal? His contract is up? That's like saying that the Yankees can't sign a free agent because that's "betrayal."

What I ment was Loyalty. When Mosley went to have a interview with Bob Arum he claimed "GBP kicked me out".

YES, because Bob Arum &~ Top Rank run boxing in the USA.

If you want an Arum fighter you have to join the team.(especially the case if you are a GBP fighter)

Arum is battering GBP something silly, it's like the adult smacking the defensless kid, it really is a public slaughtering of their business. If i was a fighter i wouldnt be signing any paperwork with GBP at the moment as Arum is clearing up all fighters out of contract or coming close to the end of contract....its funny as Oscar mentioned how 1 promoter would be good for boxing, Arum took his idea and beat him into implementing it too.

I would leave GBP if I was JMM - he will earn $5M retirement money for doing it and has a chance to leave a massive legacy if he beats Pac. Why wouldn't he leave GBP???? Arum doesnt want to work with them..." if you can't beat em, join em"

Marquez can fight 5 more time with GBP and still wont make the kind of money he would in 1 fight against Pacquiao. I dont think he wants to sign with GBP because thats why he didn't fight Morales cuz if he did it would automatically resign him with GBP for more years. If GBP is willing to not promote the Pacquiao - Marquez 3 fight (which they already said they are) than why won't Marquez resign with GBP? Because he wants a working relationship with Top Rank and not GBP.

Hes going to Top Rank to cashout even tho hes old and washed up and Bob Arum already said he's not interested in promoting pee breath.

well jmm should not re-sign with GBP if it cannot provide him the best service a promoter can. if jmm, at the end of his contract was not satisfied because he wasnt able to maximize his earnings with his current promoter he should look for better options since he is not getting any younger. as far as lining the pockets, GBP is not a welfare agency thats providing free services, of course they are also lining their pockets from blood and sweat of boxers signed to them. GBP is no different, only in their approach they differ from the dinosaur they were mocking before but hell the dinosaur is now angry and retaliating. GBP is like a company raiding another in its moment of weakness. Remember how they intercepted pacquiao and abducted him to a steakhouse and showed him case of money and lured him to sign a contract in exchange of that as a signing bonus? that was not a work of angels you know. if bob arum's a lumbering killer whale, GBP's are barracudas or hyenas of the boxing world.

A 35 years of age Marquez is aware that big fights in the future are slim so he has to leave goldengirl to seek big $$$$ from Pacquiao to secure his retirement money.

                    how is it betraying?

if you were offered a new job which increased your wages a lot, would you be betraying your current employer by moving on? this is the same jmm might do
