New WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios could face ring legend Marco Antonio Barrera in his first defense. Rios’ next opponent will be decided by manager Cameron Dunkin and trainer Robert Garcia, but the match is expected to be against a good name. Before any defense takes place, however, Rios has to recover from a fractured right hand suffered in his thrilling win over reigning titlist Miguel Acosta.

I like the fight! It would be a war as long as it lasts. Barrera can't be counted out even after his long layoff. He is one of the best boxer/punchers ever to come out of Mexico and has the tools to give Bam Bam hell.
