Why didn't wlad rematch them if he knew he could beat them? Why did he let his brother do the dirty work?

Lewis didn't immediately rematch McCall either, he waited until Steward had successfully changed his style and improved his ability to fight tall and work behind the jab. The Wlad Klitschko situation was exactly analogous to that, even down to the same trainer, except that by the time Wlad had finally improved enough under Steward's tutelage to cope with Sanders' style, Sanders had retired.
