Dude I am as PR as they get, but truth be told, cotto has become this arrogant **** that PRs do not like. If I were him I would move to NY because the ricans here like him more. He is not very well liked in the island because of his arrogance.

I've heard the same thing from others who have been around him.

BTW, now that we're at it, does anybody know the story about Cotto getting smacked around in a club? Mayorga made a reference about it at the first press conference trying to get Cotto under Cotto's skin.

So many stories start somewhere, and there have been a lot of them regarding Cotto. Granted, it doesn't have anything to do WITH boxing, I jsut find it amusing that there's so many stories regarding the contrast between his ring demeanor and how he spends his life outside of it.

There's countless stories from people saying that he is not a fan friendly guy at all and is a totally arrogant asshole.

My source is legit, my cousin is a supervisor at a restaurant in PR, and they do grand openings and things like that so they usually have celebrities signing autographs and posing for pics. Cotto was invited to one of the grand openings and I was told that dude was annoyed the entire time, refused to sign autographs and was acting like he hated being there. Obviously those apperances are not free (then I would understand) pero co~o for your own people? I guess it's a metro thing because Quintana, Juanma and Tito are completly different. And Juanma and Tito are from the metro area. Quintana is from my hometown in Moca PR, so I will be meeting him once I relocate to PR in July.
