My thoughts on Rios v Acosta and Rios in general

Hello there , last night was a great fight and a classic example of how the relentless brawler breaks down the stubborn boxer , it was a good fight , and acosta was boxing beautifully for the first 4 rounds and came back strong after the first knock down and fought like a warrior for the rest of the round.. , but rios was getting his in and eventually broke acosta's will and acosta looked out of it after the second knock down... , i believe rios is a terrific brawler , he has a fan friendly style , hes got a concrete chin and he reminds me of a smaller antonio margarito .. even their tats are similar ,

all in all i believe rios can be OUTBOXED .. he was outboxed in the first 4 rounds and hes that typical come forward fighter who is likely to get beat by a world class BOXER , i give him all the props in the world for winning but i believe JMM would toy with him , hes tailor made for JMM .. itll be interesting to see if soto accepts to fight him or if not humberto then rios and antillon would be fireworks

Rios can be summed up pretty simply: Size matters. at 135 he is much bigger than 99% of the fighters, he has real good power a decent chin, but can be hurt, good inside fighting skills but lacks D and boxing ability, I would love to see him step up to 140 where he belongs and take on someone like , oh I dont know Ortiz in a grudge match

Co-sign here,I don't think anyone at 135 has enough power to stop his second half surge. At 140,things get interesting.

I agree. Acosta was out-boxing him very well for the first half of the fight. He hurt Rios towards the end of round 3 and round 4, I didn't think Rios would recover from that but he did. The kid is resilient.
