    Trinidad & Morales: Similar Situations

I just thought of the similarities between Trinidad and Morales. Both have HOF careers and are three division champs. Something else. They both looked very solid against power punchers in one fight(Mayorga and Pacquiao), only to be completely dominated by slick boxers in their next fights(Wright and Raheem). Think about this. I expect Morales to return, since he is one of my favorite boxers, but if he does he MUST stay away from lightweights. He is a superfeather tops.

It's just been a crappy year for you.

First Tito, then Crocop, then Morales.

Did Raheem just set the blueprint on how beat Morales? Opinions..

I dont think comparing Morales/Tito is right not in style anyways. Morales was always the better boxer in the lower weight classes and wasnt really known as a brawler, but he will always be next to Marquez IMO. But Morales was always known as a boxer and never really a brawler...So I accept your opinion but throw it out because people always considered him a boxer.

Let's see how Wladimir and Miguel do. About Jones and Tarver, I don't know. I guess I hope the better one wins since I respect both fighters.

About how to beat Morales, I think that Barrera already had the formula, thus, he beat him twice. Raheem just did his thing and also Morales is not a lighweight.

thing is...that Morales is in his prime...had only lost to MAB...beat had beaten every man he had faced...more versatile boxer-slugger...greater fighter in general in my opinion...

It's not about styles. It's about how things turned out. Two HOF fighters viewed as the favorites in their fights against Wright and Raheem but lost badly, just after looking awesome against their previous opponents.

I ain't fighter bashing, just in case. Trinidad was my favorite fighter and Morales is one of my top 10 fighters today. I just thought of this coincidence. My point is that these fights were upsets but not really because Trinidad and Morales lost, but because they were dominated. At least that's how I see it.

Trinidad vs Wright wasnt that HUGE of an upset, I can see where some people think so but I mean we all knew Tito couldnt deal with a jab or a boxer...He was never able to, but Winky just kept his guard up and picked his jab whenever he wanted to and backed away. Tito has always had problems like this, but his immobility is what stunned me. It wasnt that he COULDNT do anything, the fact remains is that Felix Trinidad DIDNT do anything. For the most part, he stood there bobbing his head back and forth looking at Winky.

That's my point. I knew that Wright had a chance of beating Trinidad because of his style, but I never thought he would win 12 rounds on 2 scorecards and 11 on the other. It's not that Trinidad lost but the way Wright beat him.
