Rios deserves the win. Good boxing all through out. There were som scary periods on the early rounds particularly on the 2nd and 5th rounds when both guys were rockin each other out. His injury could have been accumulated during the course of the fight. Kinda showed entering the 8th round where he looks to slow a bit. He upped the ante I guess by beating back the pain when he showed the floor to Acosta in that round and finally shutting the door on the 10th. Great stuff... One for the books. Rios 27-0-1, 20kos

Props to both warriors for putting their health on the line and giving us a hell of a fight.

I had never seen Acosta fight. The guy is the real deal.

Rios heart and determination (and Chin) pulled off the win. WOW!!!!!

I expect a bright future for the both of them!!!!

I hope Acosta hospital visit comes back positive.

I agree! Rios showed that he is more than just a brawler and also showed he has a great chin as well. After the fourth round, I thought he was on his way down but this man has no quit in him at all. A fight with Katsidis would be awesome, that is the fight I would most like to see along with Juan Carlos Burgos being a close second, that one has war written all over it as well. The lightweight division is totally stacked right now and can't wait for some more good fights. Forget about Antonio DeMarco though, the guy can't crack an egg, is very boring to watch and would get blasted by any real top 10 lightweight...
