Why do people keep mentioning light welterweights they want Rios to fight? As long as he can make 135, he should stay there.
Rios is kind of like Hatton. He has a very good motor, chin, and heart. He really applies the pressure. He has good power and is big and strong for his weight class.
Moving up before he has to would just be ******.
Katsidis would be a great matchup. Of course, it depends on what happens in his fight versus Guerrero... Rios could also pursue a fight with Soto.
I see no reason for him to step up to 140 before he has to. He should be able to get good fights at 135.
