don't think it would've mattered. acosta was gettting winded from running so much and cortez was breaking up the clinches fast.

yeah right and all of the hard power punches that rios was landing all night didnt have anything to do with it.

All three judges had Rios up by a couple of rounds at the time of the stoppage. I thought their scores were accurate.

Acosta did well in the early rounds, but I could see by the middle rounds Rios was landing the harder punches and was hurting Acosta.

Personally, I don't think that Acosta was winning every round. I, like most people scoring, had the fight very close by the time of the stoppage. In fact, I think I had Rios winning by that point. A lot of close rounds, and I could see Acosta beginning to stumble and lose speed. Clearly, Rios landed the more effective shots.

Either way, good win for Rios.

Everyone of the KD's came when he was against the ropes trading, even when he was gassed getting hit with bombs he was still trying to trade. Acosta's got a big heart but little brain.

acosta didn't have the stamina to fight 3 mins of every round for 12 rounds...
