You dont think Zoo, Harris, Floyd, Gatti, or Hatton wouldnt have done the same thing. He's got to step it up before I crown him. I wouldnt complain if he was moving that way, but like I said, after a good start he has seemed to drop off as far as opponents go. They keep saying he's ready and that he can beat the top guys now and then they go and fight Baily.
He has four fights next year and one of them is Chop Chop(his next fight I think?) he is going to be steping up real soon by mid/end next year he will be faceing Harris and winner of Kostya/Hatton (hopefully)

I see what youre saying but, i dont think that as you said "any young fighter" could fight and beat the guys cotto beat, like cotto beat 'em.I understand the points youre making tho, i mean in my opininon he's kinda wasting his talent, but i wouldnt want him rushing, it seems like either he keeps fighting the guys hes fighting or he goes straight to Tzyu(or who ever you consider top brass here), and in my opinion I'd rather he him stick with the fighters he's got in front of him for a couple more fights(I'd like to see him take Shamba/even though he got whooped mitchells still a solid all aorund fighter IMO) before he does go up against better fighters (Tzyu ) I think he could stand to be a little more well rounded experience wise/ though i guess Id really be all about cotto if he snatched the spotlight from Tzyu, then thered be no doubt in my mind.

yeah, it's way too soon to be sayin anyhting about Cotto other than than he's a good prospect, when he steps up, we'll get a really good idea of where he's at. i think now is the time to start fighting real oppposition though, too many bums in a row will make a guy soft, forget about doing the things that set up the big punches and builds false confidence

The only one I see stopping Cotto is Zoo.

I was the one who compared Pinto to Harris. The reason being they are both tall (about 5'10"), rangy, long armed, long torso, and use their right as their primary weapon. Hell, even the way they throw their jabs and right hands is similar. Watch their fights and compare them and you will see that similarity. Harris leaves himself open to the left hand when he throws his right and we all know that Cotto is a great left-hooker. He will counter the right with the left hook all night and I don't think Harris will be able to take it. He will stop throwing the right and start guarding his chin and that's when Cotto attacks the body.

Zoo would be harder because he's shorter and can protect his body better against the punishment Cotto brings. He is still slow and Cotto would counter Zoo's right with his left hook.

That is why I want to see what Cotto can do against a southpaw like Chop-Chop. He hasn't fought one yet and I think he needs the experience.

i think tszyu will face hatton and why not.....it is the easiest fight out there for him and the paycheck ain't too bad either.....and then later on in the summer he will try and fight de la hoya........cotto is overrated and we will see soon when he meets a genuine contender.

Hatton's the easiest opponent until the bell rings, then its a whole different story!!

If he hasnt ever failed a test how can you doubt them?? Its exactly the same as Cotto, i see some weakness but you cant doubt someone who's taken apart everyone put in front of him!!.
