    Cotto Overated

I'm not saying that he is but I'm just sick of people sweating him so hard. He hasnt done anything and every post I read is about how great he is. The only decent fighter he beat was N'Dou and we dont know how good he is anyway. He KO Pinto and everyone went crazy, now he KO Baily and everyone goes crazy. Pinto hadnt beat anyone and most of his opponents had losing records. Baily was only a decent fighter in his prime and hasnt been good since nearly 5 years ago. If Hatton beat these two guys everyone would say so what. I heard one Cotto fan says he thinks Pinto and Harris are similar and the samething would happened to Harris if they faught. Cotto would break him down with body shots and knock him out. I said to myself yeah Harris and Pinto are the same. NOT. Pinto is nowhere near the level Harris is on and if you think that Cotto will just walk through him then your crazy. Pinto hasnt beat anybody and Harris KO Hurtado, beat Mbaye, and beat Urkal twice, once by KO. They are nothing alike. I like Cotto alot but people hail him like he's Tito and he hasnt done anything. He was moving at the right pace and then after the N'Dou fight he's gone backwards. All I'm saying is he better start fighting some good fighters soon or it will be fair to call him out just like you call Hatton out.

He's a nice fighter, but I dont think he is a special fighter. PR's are sadly mistaken if they think he is the next Tito. By this stage in Tito's career he was already a dominate world champ and a p4p guy while Cotto has yet to face a legit top ten guy in his own division.

I say Hatton starches him. I realy like Cotto and Hatton. But Im being honest. Cotto runs when pressured (BY SOME ONE THAT CAN ACTUALLY GET BY HIS ARSINEL) and hatton is relentless pressure. If the fight happens I would bet 200K on Hatton.

hmmmmm, I think we definetly havent seen enough to call him THE best, and its not so much that he beat the guys he beat, its HOW he beats them, he's very laid back in the fights ,but he knows how to chop down a fighter, and then hes able to go in and KO.Its impressive, and i dont think Ive ever seen him get visble stuned or hurt.I was impressed , and if Im going to put my money on anybody in that division, it'd definetly be on Cotto.Though cotto prob as a couple more fights before his handlers put him against some of the top fighters in that division, but im fine with seeing him whoop some more fighters before he dukes it out with the likes of Tzyu.

but also you gotta take into consideration that hatton takes chances when he does that, and cotto would def take advantage of that, Cotto can see those opening a mile a way,and punch.IMO

Very true, but if hatton could take those counters I think it would bevery hard for Cotto to copewith that kinda of pressure. That being said, Hatton will probably fight Gatti before Cotto cause he aint gonna get Tzsuy. So Im thinking Cotto/Harris and Gatti/Hatton late 2005 to set up a super fight early 2006.At least thats what I hope!

My point is that what you say could be true, or he could just be a overated guy beating has beens, and never was. What would any top fighter do to a young guy like Pinto or a washed up Bailey. Alot of people could look better then what they really are fighting these guys. People say look how he killed them. You dont think Zoo, Harris, Floyd, Gatti, or Hatton wouldnt have done the same thing. He's got to step it up before I crown him. I wouldnt complain if he was moving that way, but like I said, after a good start he has seemed to drop off as far as opponents go. They keep saying he's ready and that he can beat the top guys now and then they go and fight Baily.

Why dont you think he could get Zoo? I heard Warren just confirm it on another website and he seemed pretty serious this time. He said he thinks Zoo may just be denying it because he wants his promoters to give him more money
