  • Comments Thread For: Judah, Whitaker Become The Latest Boxing Dynamic Duo

By Keith Idec - Pernell Whitaker wasn’t always pleased with the boxers he has trained since the Hall-of-Fame fighter retired nearly 10 years ago.

When you’re one of the best who has ever done something, sometimes those that aren’t as talented nor as quick to learn what you’ve long known make you lose your patience. That’s why star athletes often fail to make the best managers in baseball, coaches in basketball, football and hockey and, in almost all cases, the best trainers in boxing.

Five weeks into it, however, Whitaker’s working relationship with Zab Judah has left both men pretty pleased.

It has helped, of course, that Judah idolized Whitaker when Judah was an amateur champion and Whitaker was still considered one of the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world. Their friendship grew stronger once Judah signed in 1996 with Main Events, the Totowa, N.J., promotional company that represented Whitaker throughout his illustrious career from 1984-2001.

But business is business, and Whitaker wants to seem immediate dividends on their professional partnership. [Click Here To Read More]

Sweat Pea will have no effect on his next fight.

        Zab is Zab.

        He is what he is.

Reminds me of Oscar bringing in Nacho and Dundee for Pac-man.

Judah drowns in deep water. Nothing Sweetpea can do about that.

I'm jumping back on the Judah train I was on years ago, Judah main problem is focus, he is a headcase, he could had been tops p4p, he has every skill except defense and that comes with the focus, he could had been the one and only to beat Floyd, but his head gets in the damn way, one of the most naturally talented offensive I have ever seen, great hand speed, deceptive power, great foot work, quick and sharp jab, fast combos, accurate, I'm liking the confidence spewing out of zab right now, He beats Mabuza, put him.in there with Holt, Maidana or Alexander, lets go Zab he's still young

he could get a chance to be unifid real quick if he wins his neext fight, as i'd guess khan or maybe bradley (hope not) might want the ibf to round thing up.
