Fantasy fights Larry...we're here in NSB.

Though the idea's not far fetched. It's all up to scumbag Arum anyways.

you're a good cat and i respect your posts
but i disagree. i think this is a very competitive fight.

but you're talking about a jump thats been made now for over a century without any detours.

      118
      126

no stops in between. it's only eight lbs in the end, and for a top flight fighter with height and reach and power like donaire it's just not that much.

juanma was at 122 and had six or seven title defenses there, and only recently became a featherweight.

you said it yourself. he walked into the ring at just under 126
i dont want to see him fight juanma next.
but in a year or so i think they could give us a classic considering the styles, juanma's chin and susceptibility to getting hit clean, and the power they'd bring to the table.

The fight would be a good fight, but what folks need to realize is each has business to tend to in their respective weight-classes. Donaire just got to BW, we as Boxing fans cant possibly be starved for fights to the point where as soon as a guy strings back to back impressive wins together we want him to Manny Pac it and jump a division. JuanMa, has so much work to put in at 126 that it aint even funny, he already left 122 with unfinished business, and now there's talk of him jumping up to 130, and he still hasn't taken care of business at 126. We as Boxing fans need to calm down and just enjoy the fights, there are plenty to be made; both at 118, and 126. Every fight doesnt have to be a Mega-fight.

the fight can happen in 2012 if juanma doesn't get too fat

IMO Juanma haters will pretty much say anything to discredit him. Its a form of envy.

Nonito is NOT YET ready for that weightclass. Maybe in two years plus 2 featherweight fights before Juanma. But by that time Juanma will be in the Lightweights.

                  Only 8 pounds?

You must not know how much weight matters nowadays.

8 pounds is alot. Who says he'll bring his speed up there? He'll probably bring his power but againest naturally bigger guys they'll be able to take some shots and more. That's like saying 8 pounds is nothing and Bradley can move up to 147 and be as fast and strong as he is in 140 when clearly that isn't the truth. More weight holds you up no matter your frame.

Seen a few people shredding Donaire's win on Montiel, saying Montiel was too small for him. Now the crazy talk is on about him ducking 126lbers when he's new to 118. Give this one time. Right now it's a bit early for Donaire to try Juanma at 126.
