At the San Manuel Indian Casino in San Bernardino, California, former three division champion James Toney (73-6, 44KOs) made his return to boxing with a one-sided ten round decision over Damon Reed (45-15, 32KOs). All three judges scored it 100-90. According to ringside observers, the fight was boring and Toney, who weighed 257-pounds at the weigh-in, was very out of shape and worked at a very slow pace. Man o Man! How far he has fallen. Toney is a HOF boxer for everything he accomplished from Cruiserweight on down, but this is just pathetic. He needs the money, still has somewhat of a name to sell tickets and will get more fights like this. The worst thing is, the younger fans who have just started following the sport wont know how awesome Toney really was, now they just see this version.

toney is pathetic ... , hes not been relevant since beating a shot to bits holyfield ... honestly ive never liked him as a person or as a fighter .. i respect his legacy .. but thats about it .. , i enjoyed everybit of him getting his ass kicked by rjj , i hope one of the klits give him his wish and put him out for good ... he gave boxing a bad name by going to mmgay and getting his lard ass choked out prison style ... hang em up burgerking ... hang em up
