Mathew Hatton is a perfect fight for him at this stage but I have no illusions about Canelo as a welterweight. Maybe a for a fight or two but he is much too big for that weight class. Golden Boy should also consider slowing down and allowing this kid to develop a little further both physically as well with his skill set. Match him up with good fighters of many styles and let him grow as opposed to pushing him too quickly into the deep waters. He is very young.
