Are Roger Mayweather's comments very different from B-Hops?

His recent interview was pretty over the top. I don't think many people are offended because he's old, a little crazy, has health issues and is fairly set in his ways. Most in the boxing know understand that.. Roger is Roger.

But notice how he mentioned skills a lot.. But almost as though skills are something only an AA fighter can have.. Are his ideas really very different than some of those B-Hop has pushed in the past? I'm not suggesting Hopkins is in anyway as outrageous or out there as Roger, but there are some similarities..

Roger mentioned Amir Khan several times in his interview.. If Amir Khan had an Afro, would Roger Mayweather watch his fights or consider him skilled? So, are Roger Mayweather's ideas about skilled/slick African Americans very different from B-Hops? Poll to follow, please discuss

no but the messenger is what makes them differing as sad as that sounds

we simply as a boxing community see Roger as a character moreso than an actual scholar of the sport even though he is very versed about boxing

Hopkins we take every word of his almost as gospel because it's rare to see him kind of act in a manner that is half hearted

I think Hopkins does no better on some level.. Until he makes new ridiculous comments, I'm going to assume he was just trying to hook his friend Shane Mosley up. Honestly though.. Shane is not a very slick fighter.

Roger though is immediately dismissed as old and ridiculous. However Hopkins wasn't very different with his sentiments.. Rogers interview definitely serves to undermind Hopkins' message, which actually spurred some real debate.

hopkins and roger are dinosaurs... they lived and roamed in an age when African Americans dominated boxing, but now the asteroid that is the klitchkos and pacquiao has smashed that world and turned ***** upside down. They can't handle the fact that the world as they knew it has changed.

hopkins and roger's views are fossilized views. many AAs on boxingscene also cling onto those same views. that's why they get laughed at.

This is in the line with his comments how he would beat Pacquiao EASILY. Poor sod. Btw, the reason why he mentions Khan is because he's afraid he might beat his precious nephew. He KNOWS and has seen it.

Both are shameless racist, but Roger is a little smarter or has been put on the spot less.

                  They're different in many ways.

First off, bhop's are pretty much always for the purpose of selling a fight.

                  Second, Roger smokes crack.
