Schaeffer is in LaLa land if he thinks everything is "fine" with Marquez. Marquez is at the tail end of his career and obviously wants to fight Pacquiao worse then anyone else. GBP can't guarantee that fight for him. In fact, GBPs chances of getting that fight for JMM is probably less than zero. Hell, when they had a (*cough*) chance (*cough*) to negotiate for a Pac fight for JMM this last time, and prior to Mosely walking, they were pushing for Shane Mosely over JMM anyway.

Let's see -

Marquez stays with GBP (and is certainly tied up for the next few years) = No fight with Pacquiao, OR
Marquez becomes a free agent (which is smarter then actually signing with Top Rank IMO) = Gets the biggest possible fight left for him in his career, with Pacquiao - and can sail off into the sunset with his biggest career pay day (if that's what he chooses) ....

Hmmmm. Seems like a no brainer to me. But keep telling yourself everything is F.I.N.E. Mr. Schaeffer.

Right on the button. ODLH publicly declared the GBP dream of becoming the UFC of boxing not long ago. Arum is standing in Schaefers way, thus the hatred.

Oscar says I'm gonna make GBP into the UFC. Great idea.
