Do You Think Berto Is Ducking Top Guys or They Just Dont Wanna Fight Him

Personally I think you are ****** if you think he is ducking. He has came out and said it's time for him to fight the top guys. Problem is they are not interested.

Another thing. Ortiz is an ok fight to me. Who else would he fight right now? Ortiz is a legitimate WW as far as body size.

as far as the top guys, he over prices himself, which isn't really his fault since HBO over pays him, so its no wonder guys like cotto aren't "interested" when berto wants so much damn money.

On the flipside he isn't really willing to give some of the higher ranked welterweights (but not elite stars) a fight, like Kermit Cintron, and seems happy fighting 140 pounders, for whatever reason.

The truth is though, the WW division isn't where it was 2-3 years ago when Cotto, Clottey, Margarito were the tops of the division. Each have moved up in weight and the 140s are still taking care of business. I think a lot of it is timing and obviously him bowing out of the Mosley fight (whether because he was paid or the Earthquake...or really both).

I believe Berto will get his shot at one of the big dogs really soon, though I think whomever he fights will be a huge step up in competition in comparison to his current resume.

I did think that he was gonna fight the biggest named welterweight & unify 147,but sadly that didn't happen. Then I thought that Cintron calling him out would make that fight happen. So I see him as avoiding Cintron & being disregarded by the top welterweight for whatever reason.

Well he wanted Mosley, but Mosley got Pacquiao. He wanted Pacquiao, but he wasn't popular enough. If people don't give him credit for beating Collazo and Quintana, I don't know why they'd give him credit for fighting Clottey or Cintron. So all that really leaves for him is to wait for either Pac or Floyd.

berto is ducking the B level boxers at WW. he's ducking all the gatekeepers. he feasts on C level WWs and B level jr WWs.

Why would berto do this? cause pac and wifebeater are running out of guys to fight. berto knows he'll eventually get the call, so in the meantime, he'll continue to avoid B-level WWs until he gets a shot at the A level WWs.

All I have to say is Berto have been at welterweight for over 5 plus years and there's no big name on his resume ( Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, Mayweather, Clottey, Williams, even Cintron ). I'll leave PAC out since he's kinda new but you get the picture.
