Its very rare to see a public tribune against a blood sucking Organization as the WBC. Sulaiman has done this for years and it was refreshing to hear boxing personalities telling it how it is.
I think ranking Canelo #1 was enough of a gift and Jose should of stopped at that.
If he didn't want to show favoritism, He should of match the "#1" against the #2 ranked as He has done before, but this time He went to far.
Hatton has never even fought as as a Jr Middleweight.

Bottom line is, Suleiman has put all his eggs into Canelo and the kid better be all that he is cracked up to be.

There's a lot of pressure on this kid and if he falters, the WBC and Suleiman will take a big hit. Oh, as well as Oscar....

          .

After he got busted the first then yes they could have gotten him a visa. But, once he got busted twice. It makes it damn impossible from what I know.

Chavez has absolutely no room to talk though because his son is the worst fighter out there yet he remains undefeated and talks about him fighting for a title have been discussed. Sulaiman is a piece of cagada and these folks could not have put it in better terms.

First you people complain that the sport is dying. Then when a fighter gets marketed all you want to say is "well that fighter shouldn't be getting coverage".

You people are ***ing ****** and it's no wonder Boxing plays second fiddle to so many other sports. It's this kinda of wishy washy attitude that kills the sport.
I don't think it is that. The point is that, Canelo should be fighting someone with creditability for the WBC title not Hatton. Canelo could have fought a better fighter and he still would have received the recognition. I think the choice of opponent is the real problem considering Mat Hat is not ranked and hasn't fought in the division. I feel Marquez and Nacho has a strong case. Mexican fighters have a history of fighting the tough fights and getting the titles the hard way (like Marquez). Chavez Jr is no better. A fight between Canelo and Chavez Jr should have been instead of Matthew Hatton but the promoters want to squeeze even the coins out of the pockets of the boxing fans by creating these marketing hype jobs.

I agree with GRUSTLER and Pullcounter.... it's too much, too soon, for Canelo.

I will understand if he takes the fight, but will then expect him to defend his title against the best. And it is clearly obvious that he is not ready for those kind of fights yet.

The main attraction for Alvarez is that he is young, he has been handled very well to date, and he still has plenty of time to develop..... well, you can throw that out the window if this fight is for a vacant title.

Hatton's standing, or lack of, is the main issue with this fight.

Deserve or not, Marquez should be happy for his countryman to get a title fight, but he is not. Simply, because his is full of hatred and jalousy. The kid sell more tickets than him.
