Trainer Emanuel Steward is getting two plans together for his boxer, WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28KOs), for use in the upcoming defense against Ricardo Mayorga (29-7, 23KOs) on March 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Steward has one plan with Cotto boxing with his jab on the outside, and another with inside battle using combination punching to the head and body. Between the two, Steward would prefer for Cotto to keep the fight on the inside.

i agree with steward, if cotto fights on the inside he can stop mayorga earlier (with body shots) than if he stays on the outside. I also agree with his comments about floyd, either floyd don't use power punches or he don't have power at all. floyd doesn't fight on the inside which is why alot of his opponents go the distance.

he fights inside sometimes hes just not a power puncher, i wish cotto luck i hate what happend to his career but he will be okay
