He defended his MIddleweight title for a decade.

Beat Trinidad and became The Undisputed Middleweight Champion.

Then went on to beat Winky Wright, Oscar De La hoya, Jermain Tailor(in my opinion), Antonio Tarver and Joe Calzaghe(in my opinion)

Then when everybody thought he was done, destroyed an unstoppable Kelly Pavlik, and at 46 beat and up and coming champion in Pascal.

What has your top 8 done?

Just because you're older and watch more youtube videos, doesn't mean you're better than anybody. Get a reality check homeboy.

i don't really have a top 8. i leave that up to historians who know a lot more than me.

i'll give you 8 fighters though.

muhammad ali , sugar ray robinson , sugar ray leonard , roberto duran , joe louis , henry armstrong , marvin hagler , archie moore.

            there's 8.

the most popular and well known names too.

lol leave it to some historians to make up your mind for you. Typical faggot behavior.

I said Hopkins was in MY top 8. That in my own opinion, as a boxing fan, have created. You say it's ******, but can't tell me why.

Don't talk talk about shit you don't know.

i leave it to historians to judge because it's a tough job creating a list going back over 100 years.

any idiot can make a top 10 list , you for example.

i can tell you why your list is ****** and have.

BECAUSE HOPKINS IS NOT A TOP 8 FIGHTER. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

off the top of my head i just gave you 8 guys in no order who are better.

do you even know who those guys i listed are? they are pretty well known you know.

I wish it were true he was the last but he is not by any means. You got Bradley, Ward, Dirrell on the ropes waiting to become the next kings of elbowing, headbutting and boring to death the people that watch their so called fights.

I've been watching boxing since Tyson-Spinks. While I'm not claiming to be an expert on boxing, I do consider myself knowlegable about the sport to an extent.

In all my years of watching boxing, Bernard Hopkins is the most complete boxer I've ever seen.

The guys defense is air tight. He rarely gets hit with big shots (like the one that ko'd montiel).

His offense is not the greatest, but its effective. He can out think just about anybody in that ring and he's a very sharp puncher.

His chin is definitely one of the best chins boxing has ever seen.

He's always in shape. He doesn't baloon up in weight between fights like MOST undisciplined boxers fighting today.

He totally owned Tito Trinidad, ko'd DLH, ko'd Glen Johnson, beat the snot out of Kelly Pavlik and recently owned a man young enough to technically be his son (Jean Pascal).

And for the record, if Manny Pac and B Hops were the same size, B Hops would beat the balls out of Manny's sack. LOL!

Manny is not even comparable to Bernard Hopkins from a skills perspective.

With that said Manny's resume is quite strong and his accomplishments are awesome.

Hopkins definitely engaged in some of the most boring fights in pugilistic history. His antics outside of the ring were at times inappropriate and self serving.

With all that said, the man knows how to box and fight.

Look at these three fighters here:

                      Winky Wright

                      Kelly Pavlik

                      Antonio Tarver

All three of these fighters have totally different styles from one another, yet Hopkins was able to adjust, adapt and win against all of them.
