Comments Thread For: Judgment Night For Brandon Rios And Miguel Acosta

Man, this fight can legitimize Rios as a top 135lb, no questions asked. Acosta is crafty, moves well and can punch. Not an easy fight for Rios at all, if he wins and breaks down Acosta (which I'm sure that's the only fight plan they have) it will really catapult Rios's status at the lightweight division whether you haters like it or not.Comment

Another thing I forgot to mention, everyone is picking Acosta to win which doesn't surprise me, but seriously...Acosta's best win was against Antillon, other than that all of his fights have been against nobodies. Brandon's resume is not necesarily better but he's fought more legit competition than Acosta at the very least. Antillon had started to break down Acosta until he got careless and frustrated with Acosta's movement and got counter by a perfect uppercut.
Rios is bigger and stronger than Antillon and punches much better and harder. If Brandon cuts the ring well, applies pressure and doesn't get careless or frustrated he can make this fight easier on him. Acosta gives him problems but Rios can win this fight if he wants to.Comment

This is a damn good match up, I'll be in front the tube on this one. Bam Bam looked real sluggish in his last outting, hopefully he has it completely together for this bout cause he's gonna need it. I ride with Bam Bam on this one here.Comment

Yeah, he looked mad slow and lethargic on his last fight, very sluggish and overweight, the fight was in a 2 weeks notice I believe, so you can tell he wasn't exactly ready for it and it. I don't think this will be the case on Saturday, I think Rios will be more than ready, if he's not then he's an idiot cuz Acosta isn't soft.Comment
