Well, he's certainly not the most hated fighter. However, any hate he gets boil down to one thing for me.
He's a fighter that relies on will more than any one skill. This is the type of thing that maligned guys like Bernard Hopkins. It's not appreciated on a fight-by-fight basis. It's an "over time" thing.
What this does, however, is it means that he's no the fastest guy in the world. Not the hardest puncher. Not the best combination puncher. Not the biggest talker. Not the slicked guy.
So fans that appreciate one-punch knockouts or a blistering combination won't get that from Bradley. They won't get the BEST exhibition of technique, either. So, he doesn't get love from fans that love one style of fighting.
He's a solid fighter. Good speed. Good combinations. Good defense. Decent power. Good at all things, great at none of them. However, his will to win is exceeded by few in the sport. Over time, people will gain respect for him. Sooner rather than later, as well, as he's taking on nothing but the best around his weight class.
He's also undefeated and near a weight class that is occupied by both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. So, comparisons come up and both those fighters overzealous fans come out and critique him, as well.
Still, with a solid resume that includes Devon Alexander, Junior Witter, Edner Cherry, Lamont Peterson, Nate Campbell (he was winning) and Kendall Holt, fans are bound to come around.
