Comments Thread For: Fernando Montiel Will Return in Three To Four Months

Manuel Montiel, the father and trainer of former world champion Fernando Montiel, expects his son to fight again in three to four months. Last Saturday at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Montiel suffered a vicious two round knockout loss at the hands of Nonito Donaire. Montiel wants to fight as soon as possible but his father is going to make him rest for the next couple of months.

        hairline fracture

He should rest. He has a hairline fracture to the jaw and his cranium is pushed in from where the left hook of Donaire landed.

i don't know if it is overrated, that was serious knot on the side of his head, dent or not.

but again, montiel gets the biggest ball sack award for his determination. i really hope he goes on to win his next fights, not only wil that be a testament to montiel and his skill assets, but nonito's as well. if donaire was able to do that to a guy who then keeps winning after a loss like that, it's all credibility both ways..........

BIG BALL SACK AWARD GOES TO MONTIEL!!!!!!!!!
