I truly believe the bleeding hearts who act so concerned for boxers well being should stick to figure skating and synchronized swimming. Erik has never been unconscious, never shown any symptoms of brain damage of any kind. You wanna see knocked out badly, check out Pacs early defeats. He looked washed up on that canvas

"To be a legend you must beat a legend" crap, sounds as if Oscar must be promoting this fight. Morales will be a legend in a few years, AFTER he retires for good, he was a top class fighter about 10 years ago and has had a load of torrid, ferocious battles. Enough to send anyone into an assisted home. Oscar should be ashamed of himself, but as many astute boxing people have been saying, and there have been many things Oscar should be ashamed of. Oscar is not very smart, and at the same time extremely greedy. A BAD combination, but part of his long-time stated ambition to become a billionaire.
Morales was already washed up BEFORE he fought Manny P. the last time, where he was badly KO'd early. You couls see he had NO LEGS at all. every punch literlally caused him to quiver ands shake. Morales was a great fighter in his day, but the truth is the truth. He has NO BUSINESS in fighting at all, and the guys who passed him fit for the slaughter should be drummed out of the boxing game permanently.
I have been stating for years that Golden Boys demise will be finalized, primarily because of De La Hoyas lack of business sense. He see's the present in the revival of the past.
His future should may reside within an Alvarez, but I don't think he's the second coming of anything.
His stable is filled with false promise. Without the Arum touch that annoints all that his background in law and economics touches, Oscar is at a loss.
Knowledge of the fight racket from a seat at Harvard is better grooming for a Promotional firm then an Olympic career.
Regarding the welfare of Eric Morales, I am just as concerned for the well being of Shane Mosely in the upcoming May exhibition with Manny.
For the most part, this is a young man's game and the exceptions who escape with health and finance are not abundant.

maidana's a bum. He doesn't even hit that hard and his chin is ****. When you can't stop Amir Khan, and power's your calling card it's time to find a new occupation.

Not too many people realize that Erik Morales can execute boxing techniques like Juan Manuel Marquez or maybe even better.
He's a great boxing technician. Maidana is no Pacquiao. Morales will give a good account of himself.
