Even though he's Ricky Hatton's botoxed skinhead looking brother, I'd like to see him upset Alvarez and then get his head blown off by a more deserving light middleweight.

Hey Idiot ! When Cotto won his first title he fought Kelson Pinto who was the # 1 contender to the wbo jrwelterweight and Pinto beat Cotto 2 times on amateur . Completely different story . Hatton is not even a supermiddle weight .

The problem is that Saul is even more popular and is carrying even more hype than Cotto at that point in his career.

Also, GBP is terrible at getting public opinion on their side, just terrible. You'll see GBP do something and get ****ted on for it and then Top Rank would get praised or at least not criticized for it.

Arum would've probably made the fight with someone that beat Canelo in the amateurs, so they have history and the perception they could win, but that he knows wouldn't be able to beat a developed and more mature Alvarez.

European Champions are not highly thought of here anyway, if the European Champion happens to be Matthew Hatton? Even less. Saul is good enough to fight Ryan Rhodes or Bundrage (not only fight, but destroy), if they wanted a title at 154, but no, they chose to bring up Matthew Hatton from 147, as if they're going to confuse a few people into watching because of the last name on the bill.

Eric Gomez is just not that good of a matchmaker and HBO is an enabler. People will get over it as soon as he fights a top fighter anyway, people have short term memory for this type of ****.

I got Saul KOing Hatton in less than 6 rounds.

Hatton is far less durable than N'dou and old Baldo.

Plus Hatton is fighting at a weight that might slow him down.

Canelo is fighting at weight hes naturally growing into.
