He has a good jab and it would get better once He starts stepping in with it.

Sparred with mike a few times. He often only uses the jab to set up an overhand right. as the competition gets better he'll find that he'll need to straight his right hand out and stop bringing it over off that jab.

He has a very good jab, and has found out that he can vary the speed and pop behind it to throw opponents off as well. There were times he step in with his jabs, and other times he used it to disguise his right hand. I saw him double, triple, and jab from the bottom up, as well as head body. I'd go as far as to say he's got one of the better jabs at WW at this moment. He's gonna be a problem at WW.

It's okay. There's not much behind.

I'm not impressed with Jones though.

I wouldn't use one outing to determine if a man has a good jab. Considering their first fight, his jab was completely irrelevant and ineffective. Landing jabs against a fighter like Soto-Karass isn't exactly much of a feat. I saw within the first 6 rounds, it was more of poke and had no absolutely no snap. He didn't even turn the punch over. Then when it was the later rounds he started snapping it more and has more force behind it, which is extremely unusual.

He has a very good jab. The only thing he needs to work on more is movement while keeping aware of his feet. He either needs to relax more or something. Seemed off balance at times. I cannot put a finger on it. Maybe somewhat stiff movement? Other than that though he was great. He is going to go places.

I loved his body punching more than anything though. That stuff was great.
