Why is it that Nonito is 28 and you are just know hearing about him? I'll tell you why....it's because he doesn't challenge himself to be great. Yes he beat Darchinayan and Montiel but other than that his resume is severally lacking.

I like how some of these guys get one hot win and all the sudden they are suppose to pass guys who have been putting in work for years....smh.
Marquez, Mayweather and Pacquiao have been blessed to have named and/or quality opponents at their disposal. Donaire did not have, and still does not have, that luxury. After the fight with Darchinyan, there wasn't really good competition even when he climbed up to 115. Now at 118, he beat the top guy. It's not his fault that there aren't any star-quality opponents in the division he competes in.

I don't see Agbeko or Mares putting up a challenge on Nonito. The real challenge is at FW. Or at least WV2 at super bantam.

      Skill-wise, Donaire is P4P Top 3.

      Resume-wise, Donaire is P4P 7-10.

I believe given a couple years he will rise within the top 5 (my list anyway). Every time a fighter gets a big win, it's almost as if they feel obligated to take a long break, and a lot of the time too long of a break. Hopefully Donaire doesn't take this route.
