Ricky Hatton will announce on Monday that he has signed with Pat Brogan for £7million for three IBF title defences to keep him sharp followed by a showdown with Floyd Mayweather before hanging his gloves up and calling it a day next year.

For our American friends, £7,000,000 is roughly $12,870,200.

Not bad for a 3 fight deal but i dont wanna see Hatton fight Mayweather after 3 other fights, that fight should happen in the next couple of match ups.

that sounds probable, if hes fighting maussa then his 2nd defence needs to be a more respected name i know the maussa fight is only happening cos hes the wba title holder and its another belt but hopefully he'll get another two or three big names on his record

        Fights in order -

        Maussa
        Cotto
        Witter
        Mayweather

that would be OK for me, but i doubt thats the plan.

that'd be ok for me too, maybe witter before cotto cos i thinks he'd have his hands full with him, but then a big name in the us and a good win over cotto would shut the haters up a bit before he takes out junior

I think you could fight Cotto in the US for Hattons dream, i dont think it would draw huge crowds in the UK, probably just the normal MEN size crowd.

But they would be ****** not put Hatton vs Mayweather on in the UK, that would really sell out a huge stadium.

All the fights would make more money in the UK but i'd like to see him in the US again, only this time topping the bill.

BTW, do you think Hatton would beat Witter??

Might be nice to see him fight Cotto in San Juan.

yes i think he'd wear him down and stop him late prob 9 or 10, but going off his last performance in about 3

I agree with the cotto fight i think it'd be bigger in the US, but PBF would be ****in huge over here i think they could easy do 50, 60 000.
Witter would be a big fight overhere too now his is more established that would do 20,000, i think alot of people would turn up just to see witter get beat

That would be good, but Hatton wants to top the bill at MSG and Vegas before he retires.

Personally i think he needs more than 4 fights before he retires, thats if he plans on facing guys like Maussa.

I think Hatton would love the hate on Cotto's own turf, just as long as they stop guns from getting into the crowd

I think the Witter fight could do 40,000 if he gets a decent win under his belt, shame he had to turn the Cotto fight down, thats one where Witter had a chance. I'd like to see Witter fight someone like Freitas or Casamayor, they would be good fights and i wouldnt be suprised if Witter lost both.
