  • Comments Thread For: James Kirkland Still Wants an Alfredo Angulo Clash

Undefeated junior middleweight prospect James Kirkland was on hand last Saturday in Las Vegas to see Nonito Donaire's vicious one punch knockout of Fernando Montiel on Saturday night. Both fighters are managed by well known boxing manager Cameron Dunkin. Kirkland is known for his punching power and in 2009 he appeared on a collision course with fellow heavy hitter Alfredo Angulo.

he does need 1 or 2 tune ups honestly, Angulo is dangerous enough and I don't wanna see Kirkland lose because he is not ready he is clearly and better over all boxer

Where will this fight take place, though?

Let's do this old-school and have the fight on an aircraft carrier somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.

Now while i pray that this fight happens,I believe Angulo is the better boxer. His punches are shorter & he's more technical.Kirkland throws looping shots & fights more like a brawler, but I do hope the fight happens.

He got 2 fights lined up it says. One in March 5 and other April 9. Good to keep him busy. They are on the undercards of Alvarez-Hatton and Maidana-Morales btw.
