in no way am i saying that "montiel could have beat donaire", BUT, I do think he is A LOT better then what we saw, and 9 out of 10 times, would have gave a better showing.

i hope montiel recovers well , i still feel that montiel would have fared better had the fight went into the distance, i noticed that he started connecting on the 2nd rd before that fatal left hook, too bad in this sport only one wins. i consider cochulito as a fighter who belongs to the many great mexican fighters, as a pinoy i did not lose my respect for him as a great fighter.

Props to Montiel. He doesnt complain like alot of other fighters do and give a thousand excuses why they lost. He admits he got caught plain and simple. He was just starting to pull his punches together when that happened too.
