With heavyweights, Americans want to see one-punch KOs and guys landing bombs on each other like crazy with little mind paid to defense. I am not saying Wlad and Vitali don't deliver that, but they do it in a different way. Wlad has said he is aware that people think he's boring, and it doesn't concern him.

Some guys at work watched Vitali-Arreola, and the next day were like "Dude, that russian guy was so much bigger than Arreola, why did he keep running away from him??"
It's cool you have an opinion. I can respect that. But, in retrospect, Tyson really didn't face that tough of opposition when he made his rise to prominance. He was one dimensional and once he was figured out, it wasn't long before his dominance was over. The Larry Holmes win was his best and Larry was well past his best.

I'm American and can appreciate masterful boxing. The Klitschko's are too much better than the opposition in a different way. They are scientific boxers, like an Ali. If Ali was boring inside the ring as well then the Klitschkos are surely in good company.

Lastly, anyone with any kinda brain knew Vitali didn't run in that fight. He fought smart and used angles and put on a masterful display.

BUT the differnce between Tyson and Klit is that Tyson actually looked exciting, impressive and blew out his opposition... Unlike Wlad who has to box safely behind the jab for 10 rounds atleast and then stop them.

Tysons opposition was slightly better too... A past it Larry Holmes is still better than the likes of Sam Peter... and Frank Bruno, Pinklon Thomas are better than most guys on Wlads resume.

That's cool and all if you think that. But the fact remains that the Klitschko's reign will ultimately be 2-3x as long as Tyson's, making them smarter and will be regaurded better when it's all over.

Prime Wlad and Vitali would both dominate a prime Tyson and that's what really matters. The Klitschko's know this, why don't you?

Have you seen a young Vitali and Wladimir fight? I suggest you go see. They were very exciting and very much were always going for the KO.

Manny's bread and butter is working with tall fighters, and Fury does have power and good composure inside the ring, so it would be interesting to see how Fury develops over the next couple years.

If their partnership clicks, then I would have to pick Fury.

Not as much as LHW, huh? I mean, when you have a 45 year old beating the supposed top guy in the division, you know something is wrong

Hopkins is a freak of nature - but I digress, the LHW division does indeed have a lesser talent pool than the HW division.

How do you know this? until someone fights you never know what will happen.

Seriously. I couldn't care less who takes over when the Klitschkos retire, the division is awful. Hopefully SOMEONE comes around that is worthy and we won't be stuck with Povetkin vs. Peter for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

Yeah but at least all the talent at 160 and 168 can move to 175 and give us great matchups. Where is that for heavyweights?
