    WBA Lightweight champion, Miguel "Aguacerito" Acosta landed in Las Vegas today for his big showdown against Brandon Rios next Saturday in Las Vegas. Acosta who will take on Rios at the Palms was accompanied by his father and trainer Rafael Acosta, his brother Enrique Acosta and his wife Karla. The fight will be telecast by Showtime.

    Acosta, 28-3-2, (22 KOs) of Caracas, Venezuela, has won 19 fights in a row and for seven years, remains undefeated. Acosta has beaten three undefeated fighters in his last eight bouts.

    Rios, 26-0-1, (18 KOs), of Oxnard, Calif., gave a sensational performance at the Palms where he looked powerful and precise while scoring a career-best win, a seventh-round disqualification over Anthony Peterson in a battle of rising stars.               rios better be in great condition because he'll be chasing acosta all night and he needs to throw a lot of punches,acosta is a good boxer and has power,rios needs to go to the body a lot and early to slow acosta down,it's going to be a tough fight for brandon

                The one thing I was most impressed by Rios and something hi style of fighter really needs to be successful is the accuracy he displayed.

                It seemed as though every punch vs Peterson was on point and that is really important when facing fighters who are better boxers and have more speed.

                When he throws he makes them count, I really was impressed with that. This should be an excellent fight.
