There are still plenty of fights for him at 118. But, he can still go up to 122 and knock Wilfredo Vazquez jr the **** out. But, if Donaire wants to feast on WV2 then Montiel can still go up to 122 and fight another top rank title holder in Molitor. And, that would make Montiel the first Mexican 4 division title holder.
What now for Montiel? Construction? Bus driver?

All PR jokes aside, what will he do? He got his mind punched in, he will never be the same again.Comment

Time will tell, he needs to rest a little and start training, see how he feels, might call it a career or keep going, hate to see him go on such a terrible loss but if he's not up to it, he should stop..Comment

Nope, disagree with you on this one.i don't think he can beat vazquez.Has the thought ran through your mind that punches like last nights litterly sometimes changes a boxer forever, never the less a small fighter eh? Hatton, and williams are all prefect examples.hatton hasn't fought since and williams hasn't spoken to no boxing medias.Montiel couldn't even beat a guy at 118 during clutch time what makes you think he can beat a guy in upper weight who merely in the end outweighs him fight night? Im not saying he can't beat or stand a chance at 122 but he has to pick the weakest link for a debut.vazquez would bully him in all honesty.especially if vazquez forces him to trade.i said i would judge by montiels performance and i see wv2 taking it to himComment
