Yes, he is a very athletic fighter and more importantly a very intelligent fighter. It is a joy to watch him fight because of how he studies his opponents. Boxing shouldn't just be about brute force type fighting or relying on physical attributes, it should be about using your brain.

the cross counter that donaire pulled last nite is a thing of beauty. the only other two i think that were athletically gifter enuff to pull it off are floyd and roy. i kno roy loves cross counters. but floyd has always prefered straight counters to hooks, either that or he uses his check counter.

but yea. the ts is right. that technique was very advanced. anybodys who's been in the gym recognizes real, and that **** was reallll.

When has Pacquiao ever done anything technical? He basically just goes in and out. I've never seen him slip a punch then counterpunch. He just moves back as his opponent throw combo while taking most of the punches then he jumps forward and throws his own. He is all heart no brain.
He can't even think for himself he relies on his advisers and Arum. I think Pacquiao means and wants to fight top opponents but Arum lies to him by telling he is fighting p4p fighters because Pacquiao can't read the p4p list.
Pacquiao did not even know he is fighting Shane Mosley on Showtime. He said he was in the dark when negotiation were made. He is gifted physically not mentally.

I don't see rjj or wifebeater ever employing that counter. they'd rather not risk getting hit at all.
