It was his will to win..The reason he was twitching was he was trying to get up but his body wasn't responding. Dude had his mind made up on going through anything but that shot descrambled his brain.

The dude was completely out. It wasn't heart as people like to suggest. Not saying he is lacking heart, but simply had no clue wtf was going on. He might as well have been in a deep sleep. It was instinct.

It was instincts, 'heart' is having the determination to go on, determination being that you 'think' and tell yourself that you have to go on but you can't think if you don't have use of your brain, if you get hit like that you're not going to be thinking at all, he was out of it.

The only thing that got him up was his body remembering that it has to get up, his instincts kicked in as his brain couldn't think for him.

Imo anyway, I'm no doctor but that's how I see it.

That was heart that got him up. If you get hit like that you're not trying to get up, trust me. Who wants to get up for more punches? Also, I doubt that you can get up from a shot like that if you're unconscious. Montiel has heart, he's a true Mexican Warrior.
