  • Fernando Montiel's heart is otherworldly!!!!!!

I've been seeing alot of threads, on last nights fights. Some of um are good, some of them are completely horrible.

So lets talk about the other event that happened in the Donaire vs. Montiel match. We all know that the KD was spectacular. But what I find even more spectacular, was the fact that Montiel beat the ****in count, after being starched cold. That was some Michael Myers/Jason type *****. I mean the man convulsed and STILL beat the count. Thoughts on Montiel's huge heart??????

That guy probably has to sleep standing up.

It had to be pure muscle-memory. I'm flat. Let's stand up straight, it was like an unconscious act.

True indeed. But for me that was more exciting than the KD. But I'm willing to chalk it up to muscle memory since he's been fighting since he was a child. But wow!!!!!!! In the era of fighters and corners looking for a way out of a fight you gotta admit. That ***** was awesome. Like watchin a gotdamn horror flick.

Watching him convulse was scary, but watching him get up was crazy. If you watch him as he is leaving the ring, you can still see he still has no clue where he is or what happened. Heart or muscle memory, that **** was crazy.

dude, his fit on the ground was him trying to get up, he was trying to fight through being not able to send the message of what his brain wanted to do verses what his body was trying to do, true heart.

as far out of it as he was, i truly think that montiel was still with it and knew what he was trying to do, he just had his bell rung like no other and couldn't shake it. truly amazing. i just hope he's ok, he's one of my favorite smaller fighters.

donaire just showed how much of a real deal he is, and i don't buy the whole, donaires too big, this, that, and the other argument, his height has nothing to do with his making weight, it's weight classes not height classes, and donaire, i think, is making his way up in the classes the right way, one at a time, and in no rush. now he can start to speed things up by fighting the top dogs in and around his weight.

i'm a guy that loves fighters who hold onto one weight class and clear it out, and make themselves a mainstay in the division, but in the smaller classes, that is next to impossible, unless you're a truly small guy, but athletes at the smaller weights are always going to go up in weight, it's inevitable.

Exactly bro. The KD made me jump off my seat, but I was even
amazed how Montiel somehow managed to get up. Fook muscle
memory, that was all heart. I'm even a bigger fan now of both
            guys.
