Montiel getting up had nothing to do with being a brave Mexican warrior.

He did et up. He also got his senses back enough to give an interview. Quit trying to turn **** into sugar. He's tough but he fought bad and loses 20 out of 20 times against Donaire. You my friend are a underachiever.

        I sadly agree.

A warrior would have got up and fight back. He clearly didn't know what happened. And every boxer in a big fight will try to get up. But people here are clearly drama queens. You get smacked up real good and get up but still get KO your a warrior cause they can't accept that their nationalities fighter lost the way he did.

I'm not saying he's not a good fighter or warrior outide that fight, but clearly people don't know the meaning of warrior and throw it around like its paper to make themselves. A Bandaid for the loss.

        Simple as that

Paul was completely out but he was able to function properly after the fight.
It has a lot to do with mexican American posters looking for something to be proud of after their man got KTFO! Being brave, having ball, or heart doesn't mean ***** if you can't do anything with it.

No. Never said that and he's not. Most boxers in a big fight will try to get up after getting KD like that. Its a strong boxers reaction. But just cause he did he's a warrior in that fight? Why aren't people who get KOed like that and get up the same aren't then? Its biased and like I said a bandaid to his fans to say that. He's a good fighter and a warrior outside the fight. But clearly people should accept he got blown out his league and no excuses or sugarpad that he's a warrior and accept it. That's what's I'm saying. People throw warrior around like its meaningless imo

This. Montiel went down had a small seizure and some how maneged to get up stumple and get back up in a matter of ten seconds. He even managed to put his guard up even though he was gone thats heart. Tell me when have you seen a fighter get up from a shot like that? And dont say judah.

c'mon man, it's not a mexican stereotype... anyone that gets hit that hard and makes it back to their feet is a warrior.

Alot of the poster in this thread arent mexican or mexican americans. But if you say alot of people get up from knock downs in big fights how bout you give me an example of when a fighter was hit so hard tht he had a small seizure like montiel did and still managed to get up on to his feet.
