My apologies but if you didn't know, now you do. In P.I boxing, I put Elorde above the HOFamer villa who is close.

He won the first fight against saddler lost the rematch in which saddler reportedly fought a dirty fight. you can watch it in the video.. Also to attest to the greatness of Elorde, he was voted in 1974 as “the greatest world junior-lightweight boxing champion in WBC history” for defending his title 10 times in seven years. Espinosa in the video was making his 7th defense of the title.

Pinoys were invisible because the fan support wasn't there like it is for Pac and donaire. Unlike Mexico and Puerto Rico who have the fan base close by the Philippines is across the pacific.
