i called him "the truth" as well last night after the fight, or "Neo", or "The ONE" after what he said in his post fight interview of being able to see things in the ring as if it was the matrix. c:

That was a bad-ass KO, looked like it really hurt. When I saw the replay, the way Montiel's face vibrated when the punch landed was crazy! That was reminiscent of a EA's Fight Night KO.

          Say Mang,

I respect yer opinion but I can see the rivalry seed right here !!!!!!!!

Donaire will sweep all the stakes !!!!!! He will one day take on the GREAT LOPEZ and Knock him out as he will Gamboa.

Only time will tell if he can do what Pac has done with carrying his speed and power up to greater heights past 126,,,but 126 boyz better look out the DONAIRE EXPRESS is Packed and LOADED !!!!

Montiel was not exactly a young fighter like Nonito. Montiel had a fight with Too Sharp on HBO which should give you an idea of how long he has been fighting. IMO his win against Hasegawa was lucky and should have been his last. Every fighter in the Bantam tourney is a Murderers Row type of fighter. Montiel avoided that tournament for a reason. So did Donaire. I dont think participating in this fight meant either of these guys is head and shoulders above the rest. This was the biggest marquee fight in terms of name value but from a competitive standpoint this was clearly a mismatch. I wouldnt say he was shot but Montiel clearly is getting older and getting hit more. His handlers knew this and it wasnt really a matter of time but a matter of money until they could get him a the best exit fight. Its just about time to call it quits for Fernando.
