I love Agbeko, but I just don't know if he has what it takes to beat Donaire. The Mares fight will definitely give more answers on what chances he might have.

Did you predict it with one punch or that early? If you did,, you should go to vegas and bet all your money in fights. You will become a very rich man in a hurry.

My point is, agbeko can be hit. Sturdy chin that he has will surely crack after several times donaire touches it. Good luck to him if he can land a solid shot to donaire, agbeko do not posses a good shot to begin with.

I have Donaire winning this fight but it will be a tough test IMO.

As long donaire has one punch knock out power with that speed then you cant ever rule out a knock out at all no matter how good their chin is. It would be a real low chance of happening but it can. I see too many iron chin boxer chin get broken.

yes agbeko got a great chin and is awkward pressure fighter. But donaire has proven countless of time that he can fight in the inside, and also has great speed and footwork something majority of agbeko opponent doesnt have. And people forget that donaire uppercut is almost as deadly as his hook.
Well anyone can be knocked out/dropped or hurt. IMO I just feel the chance of Donaire doing it to Agecko are slim to none.

With Williams, dude was a knockout waiting to happen. Both him and Margarito often have their chins out. Margarito does have some defense, but Williams just falls in reckless which is why I wasn't shocked Martinez KO'd him.

The difference between those guys and Abecko is that Agecko is very crafty, has decent defense, and often rolls punches and tucks his chin making it hard to land flush on him. He does get caught with clean punches, but rarely is it something he doesn't see as his defense/style kinda prevents that from happening.

mares fights nothing like nonito. agbeko/mares will be a toe to toe war. should be great.

real possibility nonito outboxes them both.

Agbecko has one of the best chins in boxing. It's even better than guys like Clottey and Mosley, which is saying a lot.
Not a good comparison. I havent seen either of those two get Knocked down in quite a while.

Have you thought that maybe its not so much we underestimated Agbeko's chin but rather underestimated Donaire's power. I know I did. He is going to KO much bigger fighters in the future. With that fight and the way he hits the heavy bag the boy ,excuse me, man has Gamboa and Juanma type power.

So there is nothing to be learned watching Agbeko against a fairly quick, skilled boxer with a decent punch? I never said that Mares fights like Donaire. It's just that he gives me a better idea of how Agbeko might approach Donaire than his fights with Gonzalez, Darchinyan, or Perez did.

I bought that Pinoy Power ppv! LMAO!). It will be a tough task to pin Nonito to the ropes to get to an inside fight with him, plus you'll eat a lot of his counter left hooks and straight rights just to get past him. Vic Darchinyan and Sydorenko tried it, and paid the price. Donaire's got great foot speed, balance and that sense of where his opponent will be, I even laughed at that turn around move he made twice on Vic and got warned for it! LMAO!!!

Agbeko will eat at lot of leather and survive it to win this imo...

vic and sidonrenko are not like agbeko. vic had some success bullying nonito until he got bombed out. agbeko was able to outfox vic and muscle him up too.

its silly to compare sidorenko and vic d to what would happen with king kong and donaire.

i think king kong can make it tough

                  2. once in the inside welcome him with a barrage of punches make him pay.
                  3. in trouble? run!
                  4. can't run? clinch!

Donaire has the smarts and ability to use the options above.
you act like agbeko has no skills and will allow donaire to do what he wants. that's not happening. agbeko is slippery, strong and unorthodox. outside fighters are made for donaire.

im not so sure donaire can do all of the above vs a versatile fighter but I'm dying to find out

it really depends on if agbeko can take donaire's punch.
Was Donaire in any trouble? IMOH Nonito was just testing and studying Montiel

And yes it all depends on Agbeko's chin and heart.
