Gamboa is also a large, seasoned FW. A bit unfair to compare just yet. Given time Donaire could easily move up and give anyone a problem with his speed, smarts and power.

gamboa will be shot by the time donaire gets to 126.
lopez would make that cuban hypejob borderline ******ed.
Gamboa is overrated. He is too inconsistent and he admires his work too much. Every time he lands a good punch he moves back and smiles like an amateur. Plus he has a suspect chin. He fights like a confuse child he doesn't know if he is a combo punching brawler or a potshotting in and out fighter. He can be sizzling in one round and boring the next.
I honestly hope they decide to skip Gamboa/Juanma. They are building that fight up but honestly it's a mismatch because Juanma would easily beat him. What I do want to see though is Lopez V Donaire. I'd be willing to travel to see this fight.
First off props to donaire, that was a flawless performance against a good fighter.
But Gamboa is gonna go down in the history books. He is much faster than both lopez and donaire. Cubans still run lower weight boxing.
i think gamboa would give donaire a tougher fight than jml.
gamboa's speed and power would give donaire a lot of problems, but I think donaire has more discipline than gamboa and could possibly outbox gamboa. But I gotta slightly favor gamboa cause he's got the size advantage.
I have both gamboa and nonito beating JML, based on speed and skills.
