Well your observation was wrong,Montiel weighed 8 pounds more on the night, thats all you need too know, being 'bigger' has nothing too do with heightComment

Give the TS a break, Donaire was obviously bigger (don't act like you don't know what this means) and there is no denying this. I am not taking credit away from him, but the fact is Nonito hasn't fought anybody larger than him, or even close to his own size (and this isn't just weight).
I will give him all his dues when he moves up at least two divisions. Until then he is a highly skilled boxer bullying smaller guys.Comment

^Montiel has a 66" reach, Doanire has a 68" reach. Don't know how math is over at PI, but here, more inches=longer.
Battle, I know what you mean, you're talking about visually. I said the same thing to my self. Montiel looked like a skinny midget. But in boxing, size is very technical, they go by weight. Montiel had 9 lbs on Donaire, so Montiel was "the bigger man". But if you're just looking at them and don't know how much they weighed, you would think Donaire was bigger because he's taller, looked broader, and just plain out looked bigger than Montiel. At the end of the day, pounds=size in boxing. Montiel was the bigger man and was knocked out.
This is like a case where if Donaire and Montiel were hanging out with friends, and Montiel says "Hey Donaire i'm bigger than you!" everyone will look at him strange because he's so skinny and short and then Donaire is taller and actually looks bigger as well.
So in conclusion:
Visually: Donaire looked bigger.
Technically: Montiel was bigger.Comment
