No way should the ref have let Montiel continue, he didn't even respond to what the ref was saying....he could've died.

Nah. The ref gave Montiel the benefit of the doubt since he is the champion. He knew exactly what he was doing, and was ready to step in before hand. A good stoppage by the ref.Comment

I was surprised that he let it continue after the knockdown. The ref was asking for Monteils gloves to wipe them clean and he never responded, the ref actually grabbed them and wiped them clean. He jumped in between them quickly though when he saw how Montiel was just limp in the corner. Good stoppage..............Rockin'

I thought it was good refereeing he was on the spot. He took a solid one and stopped it. If he grabbed he would have allowed it to go on but the instincts were punched out of Montiel's head

Montiel is the champ, you have got to give him the benefit of the doubt because it's his titles that are on the line.
He took the next two punches well but the ref did the right thing a stop it anyway.
