    How is his preparation?
His preparation is extremely good. He can fight in a week. My only concern is him overtraining. He’s very focused and with only three weeks of training he’s boxed already seventy rounds. A hundred rounds is a lot before a big fight, he’ll probably do 130 rounds. He’s covered every area; we want to be sure he’s perfect.

Wow I'm glad he is concered since his last fighter Vivian Harris did just that. Manny Steward is a scrub of a trainer. Wlad should drop him and take on Freddy Roach.

Athletes make the coach, NOT the other way around.....Vlad may as well have you and me in his corner, because all Manny is is a glorified cheer-leader, at least you & I would have some constructive criticism for the guy

          There's exceptions to every rule...

Manny is a proven trainer just because of Maussa beating Viv, and Wlad's 2 KO losses doesn't mean ****. Manny was telling both of them the right information it was just there fault they got KO'd by inferior opponents.

I can't believe your calling Manny overated (or at least your implying so)...he's proven to be one of the best trainer's of all time.

And Roach is a **** trainer.......!!!!!

            THANK YOU!!!!!!

Manny is a awesome trainer, just Wlad and Harris make him look bad, BUT he was giving the perfect advice, but they wanted to do what they wanted to do..

Enadeus, you're saying Harris lost because he sparred 130 rounds?

How come Chavez, Morales, Castillo ALL sparr that many rounds but still win?

It was 100% Harris's fault he lost, so don't bring up that bull****...

I'm sorry, but it pisses me off when people make up bull**** about Manny..

I think this is a very informative interview:

                1. Manny says that there is no problem with Wlad's stamina.

                2. Manny rules out the stamina as the reason for Wlad's loss.

                3. The quality of Wlad's preparation is great.

I hope, come sept 24, we will be able to say Vivat Manny!

Wlad is by far the most talented HW outthere.

                Go Wlad!

Who the last prospect that Manny has guided to a world title???

since Tommy Hearns, I can't think of one....

he did great work with Lennox, it was the right situation for both guys, and Manny brought out the best in Lennox, which is commendable, don't get me wrong, but I don't believe that makes him a "great" trainer....

the guy demanded 20% of Holyfield's purses following his victory over Bowe in '93....20% for a trainer? Get outta here!!!!

Prince Naseem became less aggressive and very predictable once he teamed up with Manny....coincidence, or bad pairing? Maybe, but it should be noted either way.....

wasn't there some kid named Octavio from Detroit that was supposed to be the next big thing??? Once he got 1 loss, Manny dumped him immediately, thats loyalty man....

and why is Roach even in the argument? He's as top trainer, maybe not #1 but a very good trainer who gets the most out of his fighters without having to play cheer-leader, but I don't know why you even included his name, please explain

You got it all wrong, Hamed EGO got in his way, he stopped listening to manny and stopped training...manny dumped him because of his arrogant additude..

                    Octavio Lara...

one week before his fight(his loss) he was involved with a drive by and ruined him mentally at the moment..Manny never left him, Octavio took a break, didn't wanna box for a while, and made a comeback a few months ago and won both fights...

It just seems Octavio Laras head aint in the game much anymore..

Lot of Mannys good prospects left him because they didntwant to listen to him or he left them for the same reason(Mclellan, Moorer, nas, etc)

Tommy Hearns MADE Manny Steward, NOT the other way around.....and there's NOTHING Manny can do to fix Vlad's crystal chin, Manny is boxing's version of Bobby the Brain Heenan
