People claim Ben Johnson owned up to taking PED, but he didn't really, he claimed he was innocent, its only when tape recordings of his conversation with his doctor came to light, where they discussed the drugs he was using, that he admitted it, he had no choice.
They never own up. Why would they? That doesn't surprise or bother me, it's the cover up on the higher levels by those in an position of authority that irks me. Those who just turn the other cheek. Carl Lewis tested positive in those same Olympics and walked scot-free.

Apparently they did yeah, looks like American athletes have took over that mantle though.

It doesn't surprise me, what surprises me is that hardly ANY have shown remorse and just been honest and said, yeah, I did it for the money, but I truly have learned my lesson, I would find that easier to forgive to be honest, knowing they had truly learned something from the experience, instead of coming out with conspiracy theories like what Johnson did, or claim you unknowingly took them (Mosley, Marion Jones)

Yeah I know, and he has been taking shots at other athletes for years, what a hypocrite. You know that might say more about the TYPE of person that is inclined to cheat, as Johnson, Marion Jones, Carl Lewis profile seem to fit that kind of behavior.

ye,i mean,of couse there is pressure to win and earn big money, but not everyone does it,surely,im sure a lot do in most sports, but not everyone!.

and if your that weak to cheat yourself to win a phoney victory,to think you werent good enough to achieve without cheating, then why bother competing at all,its all fake,it doesnt mean **** does it.you lose in all realness, you dont really win anything at all.

i would have usada get people to act as athletes who want to dope, and send them under cover with cameras/recordings hidden on them, and record the fake athete trying to get info on fighters and doping substance and catch suspected users and dealers.

very intresting to think of who is and who isnt using,on how bad it really is,or is it just conte and the like making money and notoriety from claiming x and y person are doping, and claiming they have supreme knowledge and skills to get past testing and detect cheats.

It's prominent in many countries, not just the US. You better believe they still juice up the wazoo overseas.

Yep, its like someone handing you a world title(Boxing), the belt dont mean **** without the achievement without having fought for it.

That is exactly what I was thinking, I mean maybe its rampant in athletics, but im thinking maybe he's exaggerating the point when discussing Boxing just to get his foot in the door.

I agree, I don't think everyone cheats. But in an era where so many are, it's hard not to. Conte supposedly helping the USADA is done in pretty much every industry. A lot of guys who chased down financial irregularities either worked for the banks or joined soon after. And snitches have been around since the beginning of time. But the USADA's job isn't to catch cheaters so much as it is to prevent them. having them turn into McGyver is a bit much.
