How funny would it be if it was Kermit Cintron of all people who ended up unifying the 147 belts? And isn't Williams back at 147?

Looks like we might be witnessing a nice rebirth for the WW division which was dead for a while

Kermit is just so ****ing weird. He gave shameful performances against Martinez and Williams, yet at the same time put on the performance of his career in shutting down Angulo and for the most part was kicking Paul Williams ass before he (literally) took a dive.

He's one of the best boxers 147-154, but he needs to stop chasing Cotto, Zavec, Berto and all the other title holders for a second and win some fights. If he wants to get his name out there he could fight Diego Chaves (WBA #6), Brad Solomon (WBC #6), Quintana, Cotto's brother... someone with a little bit of value in ranking or name on a BAD undercard or Showtime and call some guys out in the ring instead of emailing boxingscene.

Personally I think a rematch with Paul Williams or a fight with Joshua Clottey would be ideal in building up to a title shot if he's serious about 147.

I agree, Cintron is a bitch. If Berto don't fight him then that means he is afraid of him, but even though I'm willing to give Cintron maybe one more chance if he pulls something cheap again I aint ever gonna clamor for this guy to get another big time chance like other people are.

Agreed he just is not in any kind of a spot and doesn't carry the fanbase to demand a big fight or even just a title fight against an unknown without doing much or looking impressive.

He should just get active and fight some up and comers and show how good he actually can be when his head is in the game.

Why should he have to beg/or fight just any bum??Cintron is the num 1 fight at Jr MW right now and dude can't buy a fight up there so what makes ya think any of the WW would fight him??Berto should man up and fight him,but more then likely will get the rematch with Pwilly..

Cintron has the skills to be a very good fighter just has a weak mental make-up imo..But I bet Mayweather/Pac won't ever be in the same ring with this guy..
