Mayorga doesn't get the respect he deserves because of his mouth. People forget that he only lost to Mosley because of a last second KO. If not for that miracle, he'd have won that fight on the cards.

Cotto, likes to brawl which is right up Ricardos alley. No matter how disciplined Steward thinks he'll have Cotto, Mayorga is going to drag him into a brawl because in the long run, Cottos emotions will come into play, just as we seen in the video.
